What are the most important "Elements of a Story'? This is what our morning discussion was based on. From this, we each created a poster as a 'cheat sheet' for the back of our journals. We have been very busy in room 13 learning about fractions, lights and shadows, animal adaptations and countries around the world (and how they relate to the quality of life in Alberta)! They also enjoyed creating some art for New Years. They started off by writing about their goals and things they look forward to for 2021. Some of them wrote 6 pages worth of ideas! I am so sorry that we can not meet in person this year, to talk about your child's goals. I am available through email and phone, so please do not hesitate to use those alternatives (lmparsons@cbe.ab.ca). Our grade team has made a slide show that goes over our curriculum and to what to expect for this year. Please review it on our grade team website at : https://sites.google.com/educbe.ca/grade-3and4-at-bhs-2020/home Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL TOMORROW for students. Daily update: Today in Math we completed 'Number Detectives.' We represented a number of our choice in many different ways. We went on a Fall walk this morning and collected leaves that were interesting to us. We then created 2 sponge art pieces: one for home and one for school. I will send these home on Monday. Please go over your child's spelling test with them. Have a great weekend!
