Learning About Ramadan

We loved learning from our peers today and their traditions and importance of Ramadan. We learned that Ramadan is a time to be thankful and to show appreciation. I read them an interesting book called " The Proudest Blue". Afterwards, we learned about the patters and symmetrical tiles that are used inside of mosques. We then used graph paper to create patterns that were symmetrical, using a ruler. We loved using math and art to create the design.

They worked on their games this afternoon. Many of them are making complex board games out of shoe boxes and paper. Some students taught their physed game today during gym time. They were so fun and it was great to see some students be the 'teacher'.

This afternoon we worked with an artist in residency! Ask your child what we did!
