Comprehension

During our class novel study today I had them draw an event in the story that really stuck out to them. We talked about the meaning of 'comprehension' and how without this reading piece, it takes away the purpose of reading.

We made a class poster today of things we love about ourselves. Ask your child what they said. I loved hearing things like 'because I am unique', 'because my culture is interesting.'

In Math today they were given fractions. They had to independently draw a shape to divide it into the fraction given.

Spelling words:

red: how, wow, now, if, is

blue: phrase, simple, detail, support, describe

green: description, direction, comparison, explanation, sentences
