We will be leaving at 8:30am for Confluence park tomorrow.  We will return by 11:45am.

Painting Friday

 Yesterday we made an important list with the guided question of "why do we read?" Each student wrote on a sticky their own reason of why they think it is important. Ask your child what they added.  We have been practicing our basic facts in math: subtraction, addition, division and multiplication. They have been working on creating their own Math problems.  It is mental health awareness week. We talked about what that meant and why it is important. In their journals they each wrote sentences/paragraphs. Their starter sentence was "When I feel happy I.....The way I show this is....." They did this with the emotions of annoyed, angry, sad and excited. After we completed our spelling test and went outside for some races (in P.E), they created beautiful Owl art pieces. Terry Fox

This year marks the 40 th  Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and we are excited to share that Beddington Heights will be proudly supporting this cause.    While this year’s event might look a little different, the result remains the same; to raise funds for cancer research. Let’s all use Terry’s message of hope and strength to inspire us during these challenging times.    Each class will take part in the Terry Fox Run on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 during our scheduled Phys. Ed class.     It is our priority to maintain the safety of students and staff while supporting this wonderful cause. To help support safety measures in all schools, the Terry Fox Foundation has created an online fundraising page for our school as well as provide classroom/individual “Terry” activities.
