Rocky Mountains

In Science today we researched and recorded the definitions for: waste, animal waste, plant waste, waste disposal, biodegradable waste, toxic waste, decomposer. When we researched these key terms we may made sure to search "definition for kids for ...."

We took our art wall down before the break and our class was looking a little sad. Today we researched water colour art for the rocky mountains. We started our mountains and continued with water colour pencil crayons. They turned out really beautiful.

In writing today we talked about the purpose of poetry. Many students talked about how poems are a way of expressing our feelings. They each started a simple poem about mountains. They have 3 different examples to decide from: an acrostic poem, a poem based on your senses or creating something entirely on your own (some are writing songs).
